L‘isola della Maddalena ha conservato il fascino di un antico borgo di pescatori. Nettamente contrastante con l‘artificialità degli insediamenti turistici delle coste sarde, le isole dell‘Arcipelago sono giunte fino a noi praticamente intatte. Il granito rosato, tinto da mille sfumature, emerge prepotente dalla macchia mediterranea profumata dal mirto, dal cisto e dal rosmarino che solo negli anfratti più nascosti diviene foresta; le spiagge sono candide o rosate e si immergono in acque cristalline. Qui in realtà a governare sono solo i venti e le furiose tempeste delle Bocche di Bonifacio che modellano le rocce e la vegetazione e per decenni hanno dosato i flussi turistici. Gli spettacolari panorami del parco sono in grado di affascinare chiunque, ma i naturalisti possono apprezzare decine di endemismi botanici: la lucertola di Bedriaga, le colonie di gabbiani còrsi dal becco color del corallo, le immersioni del marangone dal ciuffo, i conigli selvatici e le frotte di migratori in primavera e in autunno.

The Island of the Maddalena has maintained the fascinating aspect of an ancient fishing village, in stark contrast to the artificial tourist villages of the Sardinian coast, the islands of the Archipelago have been preserved almost intact. The pink granite of many hues emerges magnificent from the Mediterranean vegetation, fragrant with the perfume of myrtle and rosemary, which turns to forest in the hidden coves. The beaches are made up of fine white or rose coloured sand bathed by crystal clear waters. In reality only the wind and the terrible storms of the Bocche di Bonifacio rule here, they model the rock formations and the vegetation and for tens of years have had an effect on tourism. The spectacular scenery would fascinate anyone but especially nature lovers who will appreciate the endemic wildlife: the Bedriaga lizard, the coral coloured beaked Corsican seagull colonies, the wild rabbits and the passage of wild migratory birds in spring and autumn.
